and just to let u know exodus i was being patient and was actually anout to post this same topic, and elite not to be inpatient but u said that 2 weeks ago.

No matter how much people would like things to be otherwise, planning takes time. Elite wanted to be sure that he had the support and dedication of the people who will be leading the teams. And those who will be leading the teams are now in the process of planning and getting together the resources they need.

On top of that this session of cal isn't over yet they are still on wk 6 and only down to 6 teams I believe. So there is still a little time to create these teams and get on the list if we do go for the next cal session... just be sure to keep an eye on these forums as when it's posted it may be short times to responed.

Yeah you guys don't worry, CAL still has a bit and then there is a 3-4week off season between seasons. We have plenty of time, Patients is a virture that I am trying to learn myself.

The final sign in date for the next session of cal is May 4th and we are getting close to having the red tape done to get teams working, but even when the teams are formed, the leaders need to be sure that the teams are ready and commented to compete. If we are doing this we are doing it right.

If i was on a comp team and the others were dedicated like me to it, i would want to enter cal no matter what.
this may seem rash and stupid but hear me out
First of all the team will be introduced to orginized play.
Second. we will have an idea of what we are upagainst.
We may also learn some stuff from our own bloopers for that first session.
Would we win, maybe.
I think this may for fledgeling Cal players will either get them into it, or turn them off. i know when we had like 6 comp teams. i would go to practice and not see any real practical application. going this route the teams could practice watch demos ect and see exactly were and what they practice could be paying off for.
Just my penies worth.

This is more like a general team discussion... here is want happens with the three different things.
Pratice - do the motions on strats, work on communitations, catch words and phrases. Along with getting to know your fellow teammates and how they like to play.
Scrims - Pratice in action. Time to put up or shut up... run the strats and catch words. Treated just like a match but without the worries of winning or lossing for standings.
Match Play (Cal or whatever) - 5v5 most often. Each team plays both t and ct on a de map team with the best TEAM SCORE moves on.
As for joing Cal... I don't believe we should til the leaders say the team is ready for match play, but do what goose said and read up on CAL there are a lot of rules to know...
Like last time I was in cal, a team can actually be dq'ed for messing around in the server before the match (that includes TKs, enemy kills, planting) Remember there are rulez to obey.
