Legacy of Elijah Officer
First, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the cape design contest. We had a lot of great entries. Narrowing down the field was very difficult. After reviewing comments from each of the officers (thanks for the fast feedback!) four entries seemed to be slightly favored even though almost every cape was mentioned (sorry WBK, the flying pig really didn't take off).
Here is a link to the thread including all of the submitted designs. Please feel free to review the thread as you make your decision.
And so, I am proud to present the four finalists (presented in the order they were submitted):
TheChad1215 - Dove representing the Holy Spirit's decent upon Jesus with a Fluer-de-lis at the bottom to symbolize the Trinity and the archangel Gabriel. (post #8)
astrod00d - Luke 22:20 -In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
The cup represents the new covenant and this shade of purple was worn by kings in medieval Europe, a fitting color to represent the King of Kings.(post #12)
sdenotter - The tree of life, and the triangle is for the trinity supporting it. (post #25)
Katnu - Red for the blood of Christ, flames for the Holy Spirit, and the swords for Heb 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. " (I couldn't find a single blade except for the broken one, and God's Word is not broken). (post #33)
I will take the winning cape from the poll on Sunday, Feb 4 and recreate it based on the posted image as our cape for both SoE and SOE.
In the last thread I announced that the winner would receive an in-game item to be announced. Sskai, Dragon's Birth was kind enough to supply his sword this weekend and I will present it to the winner once the cape is chosen.
