Ok, can all of you modders help me here? i am wanting to Mod a Lian Li case to make it look like a WW2 field radio case or something along those lines...the following is what i plan on using:
case:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112099
and i want to put these on but not sure how i would connect it or put in on my case...any ideas? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/5817/ele-250/Military_Style_Switch_w_Solid_Red_Cover.html

Now i just need paint, a old phone and a antenna to go on top.

If you think this is stupid or it won't work please tell me.

P.S. this will be my first build.

thrift store for phone, antenna check out shucks/napa/etc. someone will have to talk about the momentary switch because i never got those to work as an atx power switch

I love this case, the first DooM being the first game I ever played.

i was thinking about the antenna and phone and u could drill a hole in the case for the antenna and then stick it through and have a washer and nut on the other side to keep it there, and the phone u could 1 Velcro, or 2 epoxy it but then u would not be able to lift it off at any point.

Good idea, oh does any one know of a place to get Lian Li cases CHEAP?? the egg has them for so expensive:eek:

ive never had a problem with a case ive gotten for under $20, whether light weight or heavy or shiney or bland, or lotsa room or little room.

i personally love rosewill, and with the handle at the type u can just use a small piece of velcro and have the phone piece sit horizontal to the handle on the top

I decided I would rather spend extra $$$ on a case that is made of aluminum and is from a respectable manufacturer. The last case I had was steel and that thing fell apart within 15 months of use and was a pain to lug around. I would guess that aluminum would be easier to work with then steel also if you need to cut holes, I know when steel bends out of shape it is a pain to get it back into some semblance of the original form.

Alot of sites will have complete breakdowns of the more popular cases so you can scout them to see if they will have the needed room and if they will be easy to modify. It is best to scout instead of buying something and expecting to turn it into something. You are liable to end up with a nightmare.
