"Choosing the Experience Machine"

I haven't had much to post lately as I've been really busy with work and family stuff combined with an ever-growing number of disincentives in contemporary life to spend as much time in public digital spaces vs other venues.

However, this was posted today on Substack which, in being about non-physical forms of experience, pertains to issues that can come up in religion, video games, and online communities - namely the temptations and dangers in using them as an escape from the responsibilities of physical reality rather than as an enriching/empowering additive to physical responsibilities and opportunities. So I thought I'd post here in case anyone else would be interested in it.
