Christian Websites

Thank you, Cory, I appreciate it very much. I love the sermon illustrations on Bible.org. When I hear a good illustration, I will not soon forget the lesson. I think the Church of the Great God will be a favorite out of the group, hope not just because it is my favorite color of royal purple on their home page

Actually, when I have done google searches for study I was on that site many times without realizing it. I think I will stop long enough to see the home pages from now on. Their Bible Tools are really helpful. I like the prophesy site bunches, too. I have really been interested in prophesy as of late. Many times my preacher will say that we are living in some of the most exciting times when giving a news bite. I think we are arriving at a place where we can see prophesy fulfilled daily. It makes me wonder what it must have been like for the Saints of old when they realized Jesus was the prophesied Messiah! Exciting!
Great sites!
God bless you!

Ohhhh....I think Ken Ham is awesome. I saw him at the CHEO convention (Ohio homeschoolers). He was talking about his new Creation museum, in particular ^_^

Thaaaad! I will never get my housework finished like this! I wonder how many people work on myfortress.org? That is an incredible site, I could camp there for hours! They have definitely taken a stand! There is a message to woman on submission by John MacArthur and Charles Spurgeon is quoted there...I wasn't familiar with Sir William Ramsey, now I can be...I could go on and on... but I feel in love with this site after I saw the plan of salvation as predominate message on their home page.
The link on Deepak Chopra caught my eye. I have attended some conventions for social workers and that name is prominent, not only in quotes, but in book recommendations! While much of the teaching is on love...it has a new age feel and he leaves Jesus out. Now, most of the people at these conventions are Christian...I think these sites are great in shedding some light on things that are slipping into the church.

I found some great quotes there too:

"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word darkness on the walls of his cell."

(C.S. Lewis)

"If God was small enough for us to understand, He wouldn't be big enough for us to worship."

(Author unknown)

"God alone satisfies."

(Thomas Aquinas)

"God loves us the way we are, but too much to leave us that way.'

(Leighton Ford)

"God is not a deceiver, that he should offer to support us, and then, when we lean upon Him, should slip away from us."

(Augustine of Hippo)

"An ineffably holy God, who has the utmost abhorrence of all sin, was never invented by any of Adam's fallen descendants."

(A.W. Pink)

And the jokes are cute, too! Thank you kindly! Wonderful sites!
