crafted armor pictures

Ok I have found videos and pictures of dungeon and cultural armor but nothing on what you can craft or more importantly how it looks on the different races. :( Does anyone know of any guides out there?

I know some good crafting videos but none that focus exclusively on armor. They are kind of focused on the general concepts of crafting and how to maximize your XP and production.

I need to warn you though, they do use somefoul language in these videos (I think) but they are the best crafting ones I've come across.

I've been scouring here for pics of armor:

But I would love a better organized description of armor and where it comes from.

I've been looking through the "PVP armor" and fell in love with the Stalwart and Rascal armors... and other sets with the Highwayman look. My impression was that these are available in PvE as well. Can anyone confirm?

Also... Cultural armors... Are they exclusive to the race? I seem to see it both ways. I'm also in love with Logan Thackerey's armor and was hoping I could get it for a Norn.

Yeah, I keep doing searches, but finding new armor looks is so haphazard at the moment. I'm looking forward to someone starting an armor site to collect screenshots of each set on each race.

I thought cultural armor was only for the race it came from, but it'd be cool if that's not true. I'd love to try some barbarian looking Norn outfit out on my Asura Warrior. :D

It will be hard to really see what crafted armor is going to look like until we have access to the highest levels of mats

Being a girl who doesn't like to see her toons running around in a bikini or stripper clothes this is very frustrating for me. I think I will craft jewelry and store everything else until there are pictures.

The HoM armor is another sore spot for me. I have seen some heavy armor examples but NO IDEA how it will look in medium or light armor.

I don't think it will ruin the game to give me that information Anet!!!!

Shouldn't it look fairly close to the images we have in the calculator? Each of the pieces show light, medium, and heavy.

I agree that some of the female (not the HoM) armor looks totally ridiculous. If I was going to play a female character, I'd go Sylvari for clothies. They don't look naked, even when they are, and the revealing armor would display their bio-luminescence well.

I am making a Sylvari with green skin just for that reason :)

Ok, "No idea" was a bit over the top but the pictures are just concept art, not the really thing and the female light armor is a Asuran and they don't give you a clue what it will look like on other races.

Oh, the HOM armors are based on the Warrior, Ranger, and Mesmer from the original box art. I was just reading that the other day. You can see the original characters here:

How much our final armor will look like that remains to be seen of course, but it should give you a pretty strong idea.

Played with the character creator with my kids again last night, then popped over to the heart of the mists to play with the PvP lockers. Confirmed for myself that I like a lot of the adventurer armor, and very little of the soldier or scholar armor.

After paging through what seems to be the majority of the armor in the game, one of my biggest disappointments is in clothing that works with the Sylvari bioluminescence. Outside of the Sylvari cultural armor, there are very few pieces that leave the arms and legs bare. Even the notoriously skimpy varieties of female cloth armor tend to cover the arms and legs, and expose cleavage and stomach. :p
