Does anyone know of a site that has a listing of what crafting materials are used to make what?

Thanks!

This page shows you what materials are needed to craft whatever armor you are looking to craft. The only other things that you can craft are rare materials. I don't know where a list of these guys is off the top of my head. What are you wanting to craft?

question: which is a better warrior armor? Platemail or Knights? I thought knights was better (and more expensive) but that page looks like it's not.

or more specifically, what do you guys consider to be the best warrior armor around? (for a War/Mo)

I would say Platemail but I don't know how much damage reduction the Knight's actually does. They're probably pretty close so I would say go with which one you like the looks of the most. In my opinion, the 15k Platemail is the best looking Warrior armor.

I read somewhere it was -2 damage. which... isn't very good.
some people say getting one piece would be enough to do it

First off, a word of warning here... ArenaNet appears to have tweaked several of the armor types and most of the armor listings you see on the Net are outdated. From what I've gathered the stuff you see on the Net is based on the Beta testing and some of those armor types have been phased out. I've found this to be the case with certain Warrior (Knight's set), Elementalist (Adept's set... no longer present), and Mesmer (Regal set) armors which carry different attributes in the game from their listing on sites. (Monk sets are unchanged.)

Secondly, in regard to Warrior armor... if you're willing to forego a bit of style, I recommend 1) Platemail on the chest, 2) Gladiator's along the arms, legs, and feet, and 3) a Knight's helm. Why?

1) Platemail loses a bit of physical resistance but is a bit more elementally resistant. The biggest bain of warrior armor is lightning (many sites note that some warrior armor can be up to -60 vs. lightning), so this helps alleviate that a bit. You lose some to physical damage, but physical damage is rarely as potent as elemental damage anyway.

2) Gladiator armor, meanwhile, is extremely well balanced, as it provides both energy boosts AND +20 to physical attacks. Energy for a warrior is at a premium, and some might even argue that a Gladiator chest plate is a good call. Maybe so, although you lose some elemental resistance.

3) The Knight's helm is also +20 vs. physical, although some might opt for one of the other helms. This call is more flexible.

That's my two cents, for what it's worth.

I am considering on tdoing that, except going for a Captains helm that boosts my swordsmanship.

which leads me to my next question, could I effectively get my spells above level 16? having 13 attribute levels, a duelist's helm (+1 swordsmanship) and a superior swordsmanship rune? (or even a pommel or swordsmanship (+1 swordsmanship, 10% chance). could I possibly cast a level 18 sword skill? or is limited?

i have a question, where do i find the guy to make the Adept's Set for my ele? i pray ur not gonna say draknors forge

Like joshofstl pointed out, there is no longer an Adept's set. I guess it didn't make the cut for the retail release. Don't trust the armor lists on these sites because most haven't been updated since the beta.

lol didt notice that, so the ele armour thats 60armour points is the best for ele?

Pretty much. There might be some collectors pieces that have 61 armor but I'm not sure. I know that some classes' collectors sets have another point or so of armor on them.
