Day of Defeat: Source

It is a very very cool game. For me who has never played the original before it seems like a slighty slower version of Call of Duty with the objectives of Battlefield (capture all the points). Either way it's a really fun game.

I got it. Very fun and retains its pace even though there has been so many changes, which I like so far. =P

talon, do you plan on getting it? If so do you plan on hosting a server? >.>

I had some extremely bad luck finding servers yesterday. Of the several I tried and actually got to connect to, it was clear the servers were being run off of home connections. One guy would have a sub 15 ping while everyone else had 500+ pings and tons of lag/choke. I'll reserve my opinion after there are more real servers out there to play on. If any of you know of some dedicated server addresses, please post them.

I dont have it, probably wont have it yet for a long time. But I am in the process of getting a server up :) I'm having trouble getting it configed with gdb that it needs. I cant get a dod server to install either.

And yes, my home network and internet can handle people online, I have 6 people on last night on a temp dod server i ran for some GFC'ers to play on (had a blast). I have the cs source server running, and I can take one more server at 12 slots (2 reserved).

*edit* Got it to run, dod:s, as soon as someone can, can they hook up with me to see if the server is online and help me tweek it, i cant tell how run the game is running or smooth it is.

I cant figure it out.

I'm running this sudo argument

./srcds_run -game /servers/dods/dod -port 27015 -ip 192.168.1.120 -maxplayers 12 -map dod_flash

And i get this:

./srcds_run -game /servers/dods/dod -port 27015 -ip 192.168.1.120 -maxplayers 12 -map dod_flash

I'm still getting the same issue, unless steam fixes this issue, no dod:s server :(

I am trying to host a dod 1.6 server instead, i hope, still downloading. I have the room and bandwidth to run 2 10 slot servers. 40bits/s/player x 20 = 800kbits/s out of 950kbits/s
