Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
That was a day not that would "live in infamy", but a day that was a true turning point in history. It was a day that forever changed the United States role in global affairs, and started our entry into a global war that changed technology in a way that will reverberate through the years. A war where we entered the Nuclear Age, and proved the production capacity of our nation. Stop and count the inventions that came due to that war, including the infancy of the computer. Those that lived through those times were changed in ways we cannot imagine, and help create a whole new meaning for the term "World Power". And many men and women gave their all both in battle and in the production factories. The lives lost around the world in that time should give you pause to think. Finally that conflict made possible the founding of Israel as a modern nation. Much to think on, be thankful for, and to pray about today.

Thanks Ursen. Was hoping you'd post something, especially since I wasn't online yesterday either. Definitely interested to be in England this 7th. Not that England commemorated it at all, or the American's I was with realized the date, but I knew!

Not a date I typically forget, as my father fought in the Pacific in WWII. He was not at Pearl Harbor, but he told me he was about to ship out to form up a task force to invade Japan.
