Thank you everyone who helped with the Desert!! Thanks Halonic, Pastori, and Killjoy. Sorry Trinity that you had Connection problems we will get em done fer ya just ask.

And on a Side note I told you I was going to have to stay up late and ascend well I did not lose sleep took me one try :0).

It took my ranger only 1 try AND I got bonus there.

My poor monk though, it took him around 12 tries....and no bonus...

lol My monk probably took me 30 or more (I actually got Bonus without winning My monk is part mesmer I was killed and while I was dead my last skill I cast killed the clone), and my necro was about the same. Took Fiona about 4 or 5.

Well, I am a R/E. So what I had done, was I had no skill points in my Ele skills, and then stocked up on Ele skills which caused exhaustion and took a while to start. I gave myself 1 or two power attacks as marksmanship skills (powershot, etc) and while the doppleganger was wasting time with those skils, smacked him with my bow skills. Making sure to NOT interrupt him while he was launching the Ele skill.

The doppleganger is smart enough to only use skills that may prove beneficial to him. My Mo/Nec took skills that would drain his life if he used, and he didn't use them. Also, he will launch them in the order that they appear in your skills list.

It's worth a shot. I'm not sure how he'll behave with traps, as I had never used them until I started venturing into the Underworld.

I heard spirits work well. Start with favorable winds if you will be using a bow to attack. I'll have to figure it out for my R/W soon too.

The good thing about spirits, is that any that affect you, will affect him and vice versa.

So, if you take favorable winds, and say Wintering, and the dopple decides to activate both, you'll be in close enough to him that you'll get the benefits of the one while he's activating the other...

My fire ele took around 6 or 7 tries, and then only because he ran up to me and I had 10 energy left, he started to cast Troll Ungent, he was low on health, I reached for the Inferno skill...

BOOM

That's exactly what worked for me. He doesn't use traps, but I was able to plink him to death as he finished casting the third spirit using a rotation of Hunter's Shot, Power Shot, and Penetrating Attack. Max Expertise and Marksmanship, plus he helped me out by dropping spirits of Favorable Winds and Winnowing.

If it was Mortal Combat I'd have seen "Flawless Victory".
