To answer all questions regarding my opinion of the "Lord of the Rings" movies: My opinions are my own and are not very popular. The films were financially successful, but artistic value is not measured by financial success. Look no further than American action movies for proof of this theory.
If I wasn't already swamped with online and real life responsibilities, I might rent the "Fellowship of the Ring" and point out, scene by scene, the inaccuracies that made the film so frustrating to watch. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), I have a four-page essay due in class tomorrow and no desire to watch the film again.
If you enjoyed the movie, I don't mean to disturb your enjoyment. I admit that the book holds a special place in my heart, thus amplifying any mistakes made in the film. I've complained about the films enough already; I won't comment on them again.

So, how 'bout that Disney?
