dvd burner acting funny

anytime the tray goes in, with our without a disk, it makes this wierd clicking noise for bout 30 secs. its the wierdest thing i reinstalling some games and all of a sudden it didt read aoe2, and it started clicking..... makes no sense,im thinking its an issue with the burner itself but yeah, anyone know anything? the burner is a tdk indie, something somethin someting lol thanks

Ive had this prob before Fix for me was a new cd drive

yeah.... this was a x-mas gift and i cant really replace it with new one

Installed any cd/dvd burning software recently?

My dvd disapearred for a while, till i figure out whats wrong.

check your registry

define registery?? and i wouldt think that my drivers would have anything to do witht he dvd player clicking like it is? also i noticed that the cds appear to not have moved from where i put them in the tray, they havent rotated or done anything
