E-mail spam

Pr0n spam, wow, I'm elidgable for 40,000 dollar loan and I cant even drive yet!

I get spam for some of the weird products on this planet, I'm just waiting for one day where I get a mail stating "Heres you 50% off squirrel detector!". Massive amounts of male/female enlargement spam, I'll uh, not go into detail. Wait a second? Wheres all these free prizes these people claim I have? Im supposed to get wine and wine glasses (Drunkmen minors, yay!), $310, a house, wow, I can become a travel agent from my computer, that just must be so great. I have more spam then I even care to read the titles of. DELETE DIE SPAM DIE

Some of the weirdest, and nastyest (is that a word? if so how do u spell it?) junk mail ever. When I was younger, I signed up for alot of stuff, so my email got around and BOOM! 20 junkmail a day. I wish I could walk up to these people and scream in they're face "I'M STINKIN 13 YEARS OLD!" I delete most all of my emails inless from ToJ or family (my friends dont really email) but I'm to lazy to get a new email adress.
 
I keep getting random screensavers sent to me o_O. I never open them though so i dunno what they are.
 
I get AOL SPAM™. This spam consists of every loser and his/her cousin that goes into a chatroom and get random sn in the directory and email them with Webcams, chats, male/female enhancment, cash, phones, homes, cars, instakiss, free cds, DVDs (did I mention I just deleted all these today). *does Sideshow Bob moan* grrr.....

On my old email id get like 5-20 a day mostly from Porn, someone selling/scaming me or friends/family with the dumb if you send this to 50 people bill gates will give you money stuff. When will people learn bill gates does not give things away, and Target can not track how much money you give through email and send you free stuff.
 
Heh I dont but maybe 2 or 3 spam emails per week.
You wouldn't get as much if you dont sign up for things online.

I got my old AOL sn that I just emptied the inbox for last night... checked it just a minute ago and it already had 137.....
 
meh my AOL account i have through my parents gets about 300 spam for every one real letter in it a day...... and i use hotmail man i love those Exclusive Filters.....

hehe .. do what I do....decide which email addy you wanna sacrifice and sign up online with that one.....
i have started to only give my "good" email address to people I *know* will respect my privacy and suchlike....that is, not even my family gets that one !! ;)
 
Spam is so bad in my (5 year old) Hotmail account it's almost depressing to go there ... I avoid it as much as possible these days.

The best thing I ever did to combat spam was to get my own domain, and Zone Edit to administer it ... I simply create a new 'email address' for each place I need to provide one ... means it's a piece of cake to find out who has 'sold' your email address!  (Or where it has been harvested, as I found someone had got my ToJ one ... I'm assuming Rizz and Tek don't raise extra cash from selling them! :p )

*Sigh* Back to work ...

Those aren't screensavers, Rizz. -_- They're virii. Or viruses, if you prefer.

Nope. I may not make much money with my regular job, but I do hate spam as much as you guys. Which is why I don't sign up for ANYTHING except with my secondary e-mail accounts. Dig it.
 
I've managed to block most all of it using Outlooks junk E-Mail feature. My favorite one that I used to get all the time was about how to enlarge your...







...salary of course. The ones with the "Please help me out, I've got 10 million holed up somewhere but I need 5 grand to get to it, if you give me the money I'll give you 50% of what I withdraw". They always come from foreign countries like Peru., and are quite well written I might add. I get plenty of earthlink spam, loan approvals and computer equipment ads.
