I am new to this forum, I actually found this for the first time today

I was wondering if anyone here has played and or developed a Mod for Morrowind from a Biblical Perspective

I have been working with the ES contruction set for many years, I have been and still active on many large projects with Morrowind. But I have never had the time to work on a mod of this sort which is really what I want to do.

This mod would be bible based and simple, it will create a new game world within morrowind, the player will not be given the ability to use any magics or have weapons or armor

What the player will do is be sent on a quest to recover each book of the bible, which I am currently writing for morrowind. The books will not be the complete scriptures but condensed versions. the player will have to visit several areas, optain important information, under go physical challenges and spiritual ones as well in order to obtain each piece, the player will increase in abilities such as piety, honor, courage, rightousness and instead of defeating your enemy with weapons and spells, it will done through prayer and faithfulness.

Their is much more to it and any other ideas anyone has would be great to hear

of course I am looking for help as I can not make models and I am slow at learning the scripting and dialogue of morrowind

If anyone is interested please respond

God Bless and Thank you

Bob

i think we may have some folks over at one of the affiliates ccgr.org doin some stuff or in the devlopers section of these forums. WELCOME TO CGA. not sure who all is into ES3 but glad ur here

ES4 is where it's at! I got rid of it awhile ago. I'd reload it, but then I'd be more occupied with that than my writing! ;)

I made a mod that added the whole armor of God to the game, plus a few weapons/items. I sent it into a mod site, and he said the armor/items/weapons/NPCs were to overpowered, I think I ended up deleting it. This is for Morrowind mind you, I have barely touched the CS for Oblivion, and I've had Oblivion since a week after it came out.

Thanks for all your welcomes, and for the info, I will check out the affilate you mentioned.

MERRY "CHRIST"MAS to all

Sounds like it could be fun, but without weapons at all it might get a little boring. You should at least give the player a stick or dagger to fight off wild animals.

u can use unarmed skills dude, though i always preferred a long sword

A staff will be the only weapon, if that.... my idea is to script the npc so that when the quest is taken and the player enters the first area, all his/her armor and weapons will become inactive, the player will be dressed in a robe and have a "walking stick" to start... once the first book is discovered, and the quest begins, the player will have to pray for enlightenment, similar to the current setting of "resting" in order to gain levels....
It does seem in a way boring, to anyone who plays the RPG's, with all the slashing and spell casting, it would seem boring to most... but the content, quests and stories is what I intend on using to challenge the player.
Its not all hack and slash that makes a good RPG but the depth of the story and quest which gets you to a means... Of course, the bible is the greatest book of stories... ever... my thought is to take each book in order, and create a quest surrounding something from that book (haven't figured out what yet) some may have more than 1 quest, and once each is completed, the player will recieve a blessing, this blessing will provide the player with an ability which can be used provided the players faithfullness attribute is sufficient.......

ANYways...its still all concept, but any thoughts comments or suggestions I would love to hear them

thanks
Bob
