Epic mounts and Dungeons

I know that Redeemed is making strides towards raiding Karazhan. One of the quests involves Tempest Keep in Netherplace, and the only way to get there is to have an flying mount. So, if you dont have an flying mount and you are doing what several people are doing this provides a problem. Save up for an epic mount and not get keyed, or get the non-epic flying mount and get keyed now, and get the Epic mount later.

Is there a way to surpass this and get keyed and not have to buy the non-epic flying mount?

Well, since it was explained to me that the flying mount only cost you $100 gold. I doubt I will be passing it up.

Seems to me that learning to fly cost 800 gold or so depending on reputation the first flying mount cost 100 gold. Then the epic mount cost 5,000.

So, it does not make much sense to pass on the first flying mount unless you are a druid with flight form.

Yeah, whether you buy the normal flying mount or not, you'll still have to pay most of it to riding skill, so as Odale said, there's no point to waiting.

Get your non-epic flying mount ASAP because:
1.There is very very good loot in the 3 tempest keep instances.
2.You will make gold MUCH faster when you can fly straight to the target.
3.It is only 100g cmon! I can make that in a few hours if i try hard.

As Icthus mentioned, you have to buy the 225 skill to get the 300 skill. The actual flying mount is only 100gold and seeing as you have to buy the 225 skill anyway, you might as well buy the mount to boot. Right now, getting gold in the expansion is not a difficult thing to do. It was easy to get the required 1000g for the regular flying mount on the way to 70. Since turning 70, I've picked up another 1000g in less then a week. Of course I didn't do any quests in Silvermoon Valley or Nether'land so now I'm going back to do the quests with the gold conversion instead of experience. Nets me 11g on most quests, some go at 20g, some 50g, plus any rewards that I don't plan on using are vendored.

yeah i only skipped the regualr becasue when i hit 70 i was close enough where i just had to clear out my banks and borrow some to get it. if i had to wait more than a week or 2 i would have just bought the regular mount in between. but i decided to slug it out for a week.

buying the epic mount brought me down to about about less than 2g on all my char. and i was in debt 350g (thanks again Miriallia). in a week of getting the mount i have paid back the debt and im now over 600g in the black. the ability to fly makes questing and gathering alot easier since you avoid many adds and terrain stuff.

bascially dont wait unless your very close when upon hitting 70.

That's a bummer for you guys... riding skill 225 only set me back 7 gold... and flight form came with it. Hehe... Sorry for the *poke poke*

But seriously, cammandus is right, i've been making a fortune herbing... No need to slowly stealth around trying to get to an herb. I fly over, drop down in the middle of the camp, jump back in flight form and on to the next. Cliffs and terrain make no difference...

Wall and I were flying as high as we could, jumping out of flight form, and jumping back in right before we hit the ground. The game ended up costing me like 12G in repairs...

I would have taken all my cloths off, but seeing a naked guy falling from the sky and turning into a raven at the last second could have really freaked people out...

<furiously begins to poke out his mind's eye>

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The horror!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grodester you need to lay off the nogginfogger you are having druid hallucinations..Anyways..We all know that druids are best used as a personal mount (see my sig image)

SIKE!

I checked the cost for 225 riding skill today and it was 800g why is it 1000 for everyone else?

I went ahead and bought my bird though 100g.
