Everquest 2 going F2P... but not

I read things like this and it baffles me that I can't find work as an editor.
In an exclusive interview this morning, Producer Dave Georgeson told me that he’s very exited about the potential for the free-to-play version of the game to grow the player base rapidly and told me that the existing subscription players have been clamoring for it for a while.
What's even more frustrating than the obvious typo is that the author didn't put quotes around the phrase "grow the player base rapidly." Normal, English-speaking human beings do not use phrases like "grow the brand" except as satire (or if they do, they shouldn't).

/me punches corporate America in the stomach twice for its heinous abuse of the English language

I'd try EQ2 if it was free-to-play. It seems Turbine's free-to-play-with-item-shop model they featured in Dungeons & Dragons Online (and soon in The Lord of the Rings Online) has been profitable enough to inspire other companies to adopt the same model. I rather like this trend (so far).

EDIT: I really wanted to link to a YouTube video to Fry from Futurama saying, "Because it grows the brand," but I couldn't find one. :(
