Joss said it would be back in some form or another and according to this link we are getting an MMO in the Firefly 'verse.

Since Firefly has a smaller following I'm hoping they will take a little more time and do a good job with this one because I would be severely disheartened to see an inaccurate portrayal of the 'verse.
