If you visit a person's profile on the forum and click on 'add to ignore list' it will filter out their posts! Everytime there's a post by that person, it will just display that they are on your ignore list instead of whatever they typed.

I didn't realize this function was available until just recently. Just offering it as an alternative to responding to the negativity or verbosity.
 
ah so thats why half the time noone answeres my posts :p, sweet now I can spam all the time since everyone blocks me.
 
I get an occasional one. When I first started using the forum I had some sit there for days before I noticed them. I had to train myself to look at the topright corner of the screen every day.
 
I get PM's on occasion, and as a mod I use them to send messages to people.

part of your user options is the ability to get prompts when you first come into the forums if you have PM's..
