5. PlaneShift - MMORPG
6. Sloth - RPG/Adventure
7. Stendhal - RPG/Adventure
8. ManaWorld - MMORPG
9. TASpring - Remember Total Annihilation? (RTS)
10. Widelands - RTS
11. Glest - RTS
12. Battle for Wesnoth - Strat
13. America's Army - FPS
14. Enemy Territory
15. Savage RTS/FPS - Was commercial and has been released as free due to the upcoming release of Savage 2

Those are all that caught my eye. I will be trying all of these at some point.

This is fantastic! Thanks for the list. I've been out of gaming for 1.5 years, but I just got a laptop and have been looking for free/open source games for it. I did just find 'Battle for Wesnoth' and am really enjoying it.

Yes. Please either add these games to the Frugal gamer list or point to this thread. I went directly to the Frugal gamer list the other day specifically looking for free games. It will be great if all of this is in one location so I just need to remember the one thread.
