Legacy of Elijah [LoE] - Proud Grandfather
Happy first day of summer. To get you going - here is one of the odd-ball passages in Proverbs:

Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own. Proverbs 26:17 (NIV)

I love the way the CEV puts it:

It's better to take hold of a mad dog by the ears than to take part in someone else's argument. Proverbs 26:17 (CEV)

The imagery of grabbing a mad dog by the ears to keep from getting bit - but then, how do you ever let go? When you get involved in an argument when you are not part of the problem or the solution...well, you are going to get hurt.

It can be easy to get drawn into a confrontation especially if it's between 2 friends and you just want to help defuse the situation. However, we may be forced to "choose" sides resulting in damaged relationships.

It doesn't seem to make since to let the situation resolve itself, but it may be in our own best interest to not get involved.
