It's a mod for Battle Field 1942 set in the Star Wars universe...and quite a good mod, so I hear.

ehhh... doesnt look too bad but doesnt look as good as battlefront either though.

Well, it is a mod. It's not like these amature developers are getting paid to make it...besides, looks aren't everything. Galatic just may be a more interesting and more exciting game than the professionally produced Battlefront, but I can't comment as I have played neither.

Galactic Conquest is lots of fun, I have it. I love it, it's like playing rogue squadron 3D (classic) online. I don't know much about the single player, but I know that the multiplayer rocks. It's not quite as professional as Battlefront or Desert Combat, but it's pretty good as far as BF1942 mods go. I would definately recommend it.
