In NERO (a LARP), there's a unique phrase for every spell, potion, or skill, so the other person knows what you are doing and can react accordingly. ("I curse you with magic missile" or "I call upon the earth to cure light wounds", for example.)
There's a skill (feat) called "Slay!" The associated preparatory phrase: "Prepare to die!"
