GMAIL Problem

Hey all

I'm trying to get into my gmail, but having some troubles. For instance, I'll put my user name and password in, and it'll start loading the page, but then continue to refresh over and over and over and over and over again - indefinitely. I am basically left with a forever refreshing blank page. I really need to get into my gmail. This happens with both FireFox and IE.

Any ideas?

Set your gmail account to open with Outlook Express. The mail will stay on your gmail account server and be on your pc at the same time. But it will probably send all 450 emails to you the first time you check it that way.

For now, I'm not trying to set it up with Thunderbird. I just want to go to www.gmail.com and check my mail. It seems like everytime (not just today) that I go there I can't get in. :(
 
Well, I just got another problem. It's with sending messages in Thunderbird. Each time I click 'send' the message says it couldn't reach the smtp server. This was with both my comcast and my gmail account. Any ideas?

I have the right ports.
