you guys have ruined so much...
Wow...
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I'd really recommend that you be careful of your expectations, XionTowa. If you think that things will magically 'be different' in another guild, you're going to be disappointed. You get out of a group what you are willing to put into it. Don't expect that simply by showing up that people are going to fall all over themselves simply to help you out. You're going to have to put in your time and earn the regard and respect of your new guild members. If you support them, they will support you.
I haven't played WoW in about 9 months, but just from reading your posts on this forum, I got the impression that you thought that you should be given special consideration 'just because'. Your actions and attitudes in game might have been different - I can only speak from what I've seen on the forums. Nobody gets special treatment 'just because'. Those that invest time and effort into supporting the team get to enjoy the benefits that accrue to everyone. Those that sit around and wait for a handout are left waiting. That's the case here, and it's even more the case in most other places. I transferred to this server and guild with a small group of friends and joined Redeemed once I was already 60 (before the expansion). The guild leader was an old college roommate of mine. Did I expect special treatment because I was 'connected'? Nope. Did I get special treatment? Nope. Did I have the same opportunity as anyone else to help the guild out and become part of the 'team'? Absolutely.
You express frustration that 'nobody helps anybody when we're raiding'. Doesn't it strike you that raiding is one way that the guild members help each other? Do you expect everyone to stop raiding because you've logged on and are asking for help? That's neither a realistic expectation nor is it fair to ask of those who have invested the time and effort to reach that part of the endgame. You said that it 'got on your nerves' when everyone would stop what they were doing in order to attend a raid. What about that surprises you? If you were part of the raiding community, wouldn't you want to get the chance to take advantage of all of the work you had put in that got you to that point?
And keep in mind that I was an occasional raider at best. The guild's raid schedule didn't match my play schedule very well, so I generally sat out. But, I found other things to do when I didn't get to raid, and celebrated the fact that I was part of a community that was able to achieve some very special things in game, and was able to do so in a casual and family friendly group. That is something very unique in MMO gaming.
Everyone here has a chance to become part of what the guild is doing, but you can't simply sit back and wait for others to carry you to that level in game. You have to be willing to work for it, just like everyone else did. I saw several times where people here offered to help you progress along that path. I know you had talked about starting some PvP at one point, and I don't know what did or didn't come of that, but I know that you haven't been 'dissed' or treated with 'elitism' by this community. Therefore, I can understand why the people who you 'dissed' on another board would feel hurt by that.
