Yeah, I think that and BMX XXX, but there aren't many games, true.
 
No only legal in toronto.
I believe some lady thought it was sexist for men to be allowed to walk around shirt less and women can't so she complained and next thing u know they made it legal for women to be shirt less too. But its not very common.

Well, the stuff they do in Canada. Isn't it illegal to speak out against homosexuals? :confused: I think I heard that on the news or something.
 
Well we have nothing bad to say about gays, their people too. But I guess since its illegal to publicly put down a person because of their race, religion, etnicity, etc and gays have the same rights as every other canadians. It would be considered a hate crime in a sence, I guess.
GP would know more than this than me since I don't know as much as him about government and laws. But I think I'm right.
 
It's not my intention to quell discussion on this topic as I think it's one that Christian gamers struggle with regularly, but I feel that this topic is better suited to the Religious Discussion forum.

I choose not to play the GTA series. I played it for about 5 minutes at a buddy's place, and saw enough. It was horribly unrealistic. I mean, come on, visiting a hooker to restore your health?? In real life, visiting a hooker worsens your health. ;)

Seriously, though, the reason I choose not to play it is because I have a 2 year old son. I want the most violent thing in his life right now to be wrestling with Daddy on the living room floor, and the only sleeping together to be him in his crib with Wormy and Ze-boo.

We are influenced by what we see. In reference to why nudity is more offensive than violence... I can watch Die Hard without having an image of Bruce Willis blowing up terrorists pop into my head for no reason. Before I was saved, I used to get all kinds of porn over the net, and images that I saw more than 7 years ago still pop into my head. It's how men are wired, and for my wife's sake I want to keep my mind as pure as possible... and for my son's future wife's sake, I want to keep him as far from that as possible.

A terrific book on the subject is Every Man's Battle by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. It's given me practical strategies on how to deal with sexual sin of the mind, how to corral it and eliminate it. I'd highly recommend it to any married man.
 
I can think of a way of doing that, but I believe you'd have to be fairly dedicated.

It's how I'm wired, I'm quite happy with it, thanks. If I want brainwashing to remove my natural impulses I'll join a cult. Also, I don't believe any wife would be happy with her husbands sexual drive corralled and eliminated.
 
Im not interested in the GTA series. Christians shouldnt be playing this game in the first place. You have to do bad things to get ahead in the game. This game would probably weaken my relationship with the Lord. I dont care about violence, language, or blood & gore in games. But when they show women naked or sex in games, that definitely makes me want to turn in the game.
 
Again, don't you think it's interesting that an unclothed woman is more threatening to your spiritual condition than beating someones head in with a claw hammer?

You don't care about bathing in the blood of innocents - but a woman in a bikini? Time to get out the banning stick! No wonder one of the reasons that Wicca is the fastest growing US religion is that woman feel it embodies and typifies them as evil creatures.l
 
Woah Eon, Im shocked about what you said. I would never even consider to murder in real life. I wouldnt find much fun killing innocent people in games either. As I said in the last post, Im not interested in the gta series. This game could influence people into doing murder. Whenever I kill in games, I dont turn into a psychopath and crave for more blood like you make me look like.

My apologies if my last post was oversimplified. I, by no means, meant to suggest that you find violence acceptable or use it in your real life. I'm sorry if I caused you offence - I can imagine it's hurtful to think that somebody sees you as a blood drenched psycho.

I assure you it was a miscommunication - I certainly don't see you that way.

Please see my post as referring to VIRTUAL blood and violence, and to virtually bikiniclad ladies.
 
I don't think we can just boil this down to pixelation. Whats the difference between the pixels of a nude woman in any game and the pixels of a picture of nude woman in Playboy? If you aren't gaurding your heart for Christ, then who is?
 
Apology accepted Eon. I dont think there is a difference between pixels of a made up nude woman and pixels of a real nude woman other than one of them is computer generated and the other is not.
 
Being nude in the shower is not a bad thing, but showing your nude body for others to lust after is bad. Just in case you dont know, lusting is commiting adultery in your heart which is against God's commandments.

It's not about eliminating the drive, but rather channeling it to the proper source (meaning, my wife, and not those other images), and thereby eliminating the sin. Trust me, I've got no fewer "natural impulses" than before, but now they're directed towards my wife.

As stated before nudity isn't bad. Nor is the defense of oneself. But to constantly stive to find visual stimualization is lust. We are call not to lust as Christains. My affections are geared toward my wife.

Violence is as bad as lust , I find it ironic that we remember lust and avoid it, but for get that God hates voilence against his children; there is a justification for the use of force, but like anything it can be explotied.

They Reason I have to avoid a game such as this is simle, We are taught as a man thinks, so is he!

If you lie, you are a lair
if you steal you are a theif (Stealer)
if you deal with voilence, you are voilent

as a man thinks, so is he!
 
Ah Gandhi, dont say that. We are all sinners here. Im sure Ive broken this commandment a bunch of times before. Im glad that Jesus gave His life for us. If He didnt, we would be all going to hell.
