GTA San Andreas

Well I was just saying since I'm not christian and I don't think of it as a sin, in your eyes I would be going ot hell.
 
Any religion that makes a sin of its adherents prime motivation is certainly going to send a lot of people to its version of hell.

May as well make breathing and eating a sin. :)
 
Not true, in th OT we could cover sins with sacrifices. IN the NT Jesus paid for those sins. It an old argement, but forgiveness is easy

First off, not to sound mean, if playing a game with violence is going to take you farther from God, then maybe your relationship was that strong to begin with. Secondly THERE IS NO NUDITY OR SEX IN THE GAME, when you pick up a hooker she just sits next to you, and I haven't seen any nudity in any of the GTA games. And to say that Christians shouldn't play this game makes you no better then the people that say Disney movies are bad because they have witches, spells, talking animals in them. Walt Disney DID NOT intend for it to be seen as 'evil' he made them so kids could have fun and because he liked making them. Read Rockstars interview in the newest issue of PSX magazine (or one of those magazines). IT will explain the hooker thing and why people have blown it out of proportion, as well as some other things.
 
Kk, The game doesnt have nudity, ( it would clearly say nudity on the rating, like God of War for example) But doesnt the hooker suggest something here? I wonder... how does a hooker restore your health anyway? Doesnt make any sense. If theres a screen on how the hooker restores health, I would like to see it. And as I said earlier, I dont care about violence, blood and gore, or little language in the game ( If everyone is dropping the f-bomb in the game, I could just mute it I guess.) Is there allot of bad language in the game?
But wait.... was esrb lying? Ive noticed on the back of the box that there is a strong sexual content rating. Is it just for the hooker sitting next to you, or something more than that? I may want to check this game out if its not that bad.
 
The only thing sexual I've seen/heard in thsi game are a few sexual innuendos. Other then that, I can't thing of any scenes in the game were there is blatant sexual activity. Some of the characters will say something refering to it, but it is never part of the mission. If you do get it and don't want to hear it then skip the cutscenes to these missions;

Drive Misty for Me
Mike 'Lips' Last Lunch
and
Sayonara Salvatore

Although one mission does have you pick up prostitutes and drop them off at a police banquet, that is all that happens and you don't see/hear anything.

Oh yeah, and the thing were people say you can kill the hooker and get your money back, it is just a random drop and you'll never get the same amount of money you spent. (so says Rockstar)
 
Umm, ladies and gents....just one question...What exactly does this have to do with religious discussion. All in all, has been a great dialog, but this seems to be turning into a game review. Nothing wrong with that, just want to be sure this is in the right forum
