Guild Audit Part One

Ok, so will we see a post on the remaining classes or is everyone just visiting the site themselves to run their own audit?

I found it interesting that this site didn't totally jive with the WoW Armory in one case for me. I "upgraded" from my T5 shoulders according to the Armory, but my score on this site actually dropped slightly. Kind of interesting...

it utilizes cached information, it will catch up eventually.

wow i didnt think that i could do end of tk to begining of BT in my gear.. that is kinda exciting to tell you the truth.. this is a really great site though and once i get back to my actual computer again im gonna use it to help check everything...

BT was cleared using old world gear. While there are certain constraints like enrage timers you need to be able to break, focused and efficient players have an easier time of it. I'd worry more about improving combat presence, effectiveness of attack rotations, not dying and so on before thinking you need T6 to clear BT.

I was actually reviewing some videos on Illidan last night and thought it kind of funny that some of the locks in the raid still had on FSW pieces and not to mention, most fights have been nerfed since those videos were made.

A new piece of gear, some changing of some gems and I'm at 239.60 :) I need three more Purified Shadowsong Amethysts, and my score will go up again =) muwahaha

haha.. I was either wearing PVP gear when this audit was done.. or I've improved a bunch. I'm scored at 235.90 now.. lol.

Is this a good way to get arms around the guild? I am trying to rejoin, and before I create a character, I wanted to see what imbalances or needs there might be in the guild (what races / classes the guild needs, etc.). Is there a way to see that kind of data?

Brahc, we've always encouraged people to pick toons they enjoy. If you really want to know what shortages we have, at this time tanks would probably be most short on, have been short healers but seem to have a lot of up coming healers now.

As long as your a member of toj, log onto Stonemaul, we're alliance there and ask anyone in Redeemed to see if an officer is on to help you get a guild invite.

One more question (begging patience)... is it still the case that race benefits disappear in the higher levels.

Dwarves still make great tanks, the added benefit from the stone form can help out greatly in various situations. Humans make great tanks as well with the sword and mace benefits they have and expertese. Also, with humans you get the increased rep gains, which would help out at 70 and helping to gear up quicker, allowing access to faction rep required gear that much quicker. All in all though, most racial benefits don't weigh in too heavily at 70, but can still play in with some minor increases.

One more question (again) -- what about Night Elf warriors? As I understand it, it may benefit dodging and speed, but not so good as a tank, right? Also, lack the faction capacity of humans, right? I'm leaning toward human warrior.

Night Elf's make fine tanks as well. Each race has a little benefit here and there. A Night Elf gets the added dodge bonus making it a little easier to meet tanking requirements. Ultimatly, I don't really see a benefit of one race over another making it a must have for a tank. Just choose whichever you like the idea of, and have fun with it.
