ARGH!

Again.

I was doing a virus scan and when I came back, it was stuck on a error scan.

The error scan been going frequently and the hard drive has been running very slow. So, I'm using my back up as my main...

Its extremely frustrating when I have to re-install all the games that were previous installed four hours ago.

Anyways, can anyone tell me what am I missing?

Completed

- Antivirus
- Antispyware
- Video card
- Internet browser (Firefox)

If you want to recover the data from the old drive, here is a little trick for you:

Go to www.ubuntu.com and download the ISO for their Linux OS. You can load the OS from the disk without installing. From inside the OS I have been able to retrieve data very easily and copy on to an external hard drive.

Are you reinstalling on the same HD that keeps crashing?

Run crystal disk info on it.

My 500GB was my back up. So I use that instead.

The dead one is 320GB.

Meh. I don't want to open my case, plug it in, close it and try to retrieve data. Some of the stuff can be retrievable from the CD-Rs.
