Healing Gear for Paladin

Since I only have 48 posts, I've decided to try and catch Tek7:rolleyes:
What is the best healing gear for a Paladin? Abishai is currently lvl 50 but I've decided to work on him again. I've focused on Holy as primary talents.
What are other Healadin's wearing? I suppose I could look this up myself but I have to have something to post since I'm trying to catch Tek. :)

If you click on my signature you can see my profile. My most recent upload is with my healadin gear on. Yes I am wearing a dress...but underneath its all plate!

Here is the site where you can learn of all the best options. I check this site every day, 5 times a day since as long as I can remember. http://69.41.171.43/paladin.htm

I am a firm believer that maximizing Paladin healing is not relying totally on +Healing but to also have a healthy amount of +mana/5 and +int. If you are holy specced (or at least have illumination) you should snag as much +spell crit too.

The reason, our most used heal in raiding (Flash of Light) only benefits from 43% of the +Healing gear you wear. So to get a full +100 to FoL, you need 232 to +Heal. Since plate with lots of +healing is hard to find, a palladin has to take a serious hit to their key ability, survivability by wearing cloth and leather.

So what is the benefits of non +healing gear. Mana/5 coupled with blessing of wisdom and seal of wisdom makes a paladin a top notch mana regener. +int increases your mana pool and gives bonus to spell crit for those mana free illumination heals. Spell crit helps with those mana free heals too. Let the big healers get the 4000 point heals, you will have mana long after they have spent their 8k pool and will still be healing away.

Although I recently switched specs, I run with about 5k health, 6k mana and 8k armor fully raid buffed. I also have a 24 mana/5.

There is a great post here, that speaks in detail of the benefits of +healing, +int, +mp5

It is definitely a good read.

Personally I have found that plate with +mana/5 or +spell crit is just as had to find as +healing. Basically be on the lookout for all of the stats listed. Then you can mix and match or stack one stat as you see fit.

Also, where in 5-man instances your survivability will go down when not in full plate, in the 40 man instances you rarely get hit unless something is already going wrong, so swapping out a few plates pieces for cloth ones with massive stats seems wise enough. It depends what your goals are for each event.

This is true but confusing at the same time. We get 43% not because we are nerfed but because the cast time on FoL is so fast. A Priest heal with a 3.5 sec cast gets 100% of the +healing gear but after a minute of solid casting, the numbers become the same and it all balances out. Blizz made everyone equal out with +spell dmg/+ healing by making the %coefficiant related to cast time.

Thanks guys this is awesome! We might want to put some of this discussion in the Class Guide Forum.
Thanks again!

Don't forget the guild enchanters. I recently got revered with the argent dawn and can now give you +healing to any bracer. Also I picked up a regen to bracers. Top it off with the +100 mana to chest, int to shield and otrher various things and you would be rocking! Catch Berial in game for a complete listing and remember if there is one you want done, help me get it!! :) I am working on the +22 intel and will advertise that in guild when I have it.

Thanks for the offer Dukatt. I will give you a call when I have my gear ready. I will also need some time to gather the mats. Thanks again!
