Was looking over the forums and seen a few familiar names form WAR. I been playing WOW again with my guild Narrow path on thunderhorn, but am kind of getting burn out on ulduar and the other end game goodies, and was thinking of joining you guys for some pvp fun. I never played/leved on a pvp server can someone give me some insite on what to expect, Is getting camped while questing as bad as I always pictured in my head? With BG exp now am not to worried about that anymore.

I see my names on the roster still so I guess all that needs to be done is seend a whisper to an officer for an invite? Also I seen I thread about A new horde guild on the server,How is that coming along? Would rather play horde but if theres not many people playing I will settle for the alliance. Well thanks for your time, have to get back to work.

Welcome! Yes, you can get camped doing quests, but its not as epic as you would think. It happens randomly and in some zone more than others.

To be honest a PvP server isn't much different than a PvE server unfortunately. You would think that epic Horde vs. Alliance battles would be going on all the time, but they are not. Too few and far between.

That being said the Horde side on Stonemaul is not official ToJ guild, but Mustard Seed Conspiracy on Thunderhoof (?) is. I believe the guild is currently inactive though.

At a glance it would seem easier to manage if both ToJ WOW guilds were on the same server.

But then again I truly don't know...

:D

Well you can get camped while questing, depends what zone you're in. If you're in STV you're looking for trouble. But I've managed to level my paladin and avoid many PvP situations. Although I've also just bubbled and hearthed away haha.

STV wasn't bad the last time I leveled. Most of the killings are fly by slaughters... so it's normalling a one kill and that is all. So it's not so bad.

There will always be certain places to find battles and sometimes they turn epic. I've instigated one at Halaa in Outlands; last night we had one started at Chillmaw in Icecrown, that if we brought more people in, might have gotten a lot of response. There are quite a few of us who like to pvp.

There is definitely tension on a PVP server you don't get on a PVE. That is, you never know when you are going to be jump by a level 80 while trying to get to level 20, or when you are going to get jumped by 5 level 25 when trying to do some quests.

Overall, a PVP server is pretty docile. But it often doesn't take much to ignite a fire. There are spots that are often flash points for some pretty epic PVP battles. For example, out at Chillmaw, it wouldn't take much to cause enough havoc that you will be met with some form of payback. At Chillmaw, if you don't allow horde to do the quest, it doesn't take long before they won't allow Alliance to do the quest and before you know it, chillmaw is ROFLCOPTERING you from above while 20 horde and 20 alliance just battle it out for 20 or 30 minutes.

Thanks for all the replys :). I was thinking about just starting fresh but I have a hand full of toons in the range of 30-80 that are collecting dust I could spend the 25$ and just move one over, then I would have some gold and bags.Leaning toward my mage but am not sure....Gives me somthing to think about. Have fun cant wait to play with you all, maybe see you in a few days in game.

one advise before you transfer; don't bring a mage to a pvp server, not worth it. bring a dk or a rogue, or even a warlock. mage still do ok, but if you wanna pvp then you'll need the pvp gear and mage can really only be effective in 3s with RMP combo.

Yea my mains a warlock and when i do bgs and WG with him I know what you mean its not much fun. Was thinking a mage had more ways to get away than the lock = ice block, invis. the ice sheild, blink. But hes only 67 and havent played or pvped with him much as of late so I dont know. Am not much on melee classes so not into rogue or dk.I have a hunter but hes pretty low that I would like to level or 80 druid heal/dps spec. maybe even my warrior but that puts me back in melee which i dont want to play.....

Not sure I agree, lately in pvp there have been some mages that I can't get around much. With their ice armor you get frozen all the time, I think they are very viable in pvp. They do tons of dmg too, as most people will more than likely use resist against lock dmg over frost.

mages are ok in world pvp, they are not in arena.

they cant run with a healer in 2s, the only viable combo is rmp for 3s, and i think 5s is dead.

they have los issues with all the pillars, unlike most of the other classes.
