Good morning everyone! For those of the "newbies" that don't recognize the name, this is Traumatize (level 52 Shammy at the moment).

I won't be playing the game for about a week. My fiance and I took a vacation up to North Carolina in the mountains. I haven't seen snow in ~10+ years and it's amazing. The only thing that scares me though is that I have never driven in snow/ice. So, needless to say the locals will be upset that I'm going slower than need be. Us Floridians don't know anything about the snow. lol. And since most of you guys are from Canada and up north, you'll probably laugh at me. But it's cool. :)

I hope everyone had a GREAT celebration of THE birth. :) Have a safe New Years please. I'll be posting up on here every now and then just to say hi while I'm out and about. Take care.

Hey, Reason! I find that the trick to driving on snow and ice is to pretend that every solid object is half as far away as it appears to be, and to change driving habits to match. Stop for lights way early, keep a healthy margin between you and other drivers (enough that they can spin a 360 without hitting you) and watch for ice on the road. Don't stop with your back bumper just in front of a patch of ice -- some other driver may try to stop on a dime on that patch. If you have to stop on the ice yourself, a couple of feet back from the light, so they don't have that option, do it.

Have a happy new year, and enjoy the snow. :D
