i just got my pc working all fine and i load up cs for a game... what happens.. its messed. every time i fire a shot my gun reloads.. whats up with that... can anyone help me fix it i dont want to reinstall cs again
 
Check the control, and see if Reload's alternate is Mouse1. but i think it can't be cuz u can't use 2 buttons at once. I think theres soem problem in the scripts and all Goose WE NEED j00!!!

Once my friend changed all the controls while iwas away, and he made the mouse1 do a jump. I had no idea, went to the tunnel on dust, found a foe, jumped -_-; and sadly, got knifed.
 
Or if you're in-game, drop the console, and type "bind mouse1", it should tell you what is bound to mouse1. If you hold mouse1 down, will it continue to fire, or immediately reload after 1 shot? DETAILS RIZZ!!
 
i think its when u release ouse1.. lemme check my config...

mouse1 is just +attack

I think its something that has to do with On mouse release. Script problem i'd say wotwot

i dont have any scripts.. well just a few.. but nothing major..
if it doesnt fix itself im just gonna reinstall
 
Do u hav CS retail or Half life *then installed cs mod* ? i could help u to find the fast update available site
 
If I remember correctly, Apoc was having this exact problem. You might wanna ask him, although this was a long time ago so he may not remember.
 
I don't think theres any problem in ur Controls. I see u've made some changes

I recommend installing CS. After the Repair it's been through, i'd recommend formatting as well.. But reinstallin CS is probably the way to go. format? u can think about it.
 
Yea, reinstall CS, but make sure you delete all the folders, b/c it likes to leave stuff behind. Before you do that, save all the important things you want to keep, like maps, configs, jpg's, etc. Then install it with a clean directory to place it in. If it STILL does it, yes, I recommend a reformat on your OS.
 
I reinstalled cs and it still does it.. theres no way i am reformatting so we need a solution....
 
Rizz, I got one last idea (maybe), try moving your config.cfg and autoexec.cfg to your desktop for temporary placement. Cut it, don't copy, CS will automatically create these files for you (maybe not autoexec.cfg, but who cares). Now that you have those 2 files out of your cstrike directory, start up CS and see if it still does it. Just a thought =\
 
I have totally cleaned hl off and reinstalled both mod and retail versions.. i knbow exactly what the problem is now but i cant fix it..

I cant bind the arrow keys.. when i press to bind them in the game menu it just moves the box in the direction of the key.

The gun reloads whenever an arrow key is pressed and theres not a full clip. I can operate fine if i dont move..lol

I am still on my sabbatical from cs but should i choose to come back it would be nice to have the option to play it before condition zero comes out...
 
What were you trying to make the arrows keys? I just move around with w,a,d,x. keeps your hands far enough away that they won't bump. In fact ill post my config.

Thats mine. Just set your stuff back to default and figure out a new config. If I just confused you/misunderstood you then this post is null and void.
