don't get your expectations high....i don't think hl2 is going to be out for quiet some time.
i understand what ur saying but i disagree. its understandable to be skeptical since they've had delay after delay but consider the facts:
1. Valve has already sent an RC to vivendi for approval (final step before gold) but they are currently locked in a court battle.
2. the inquirer has reported that in the UK, they expect a release date of Nov 26th and Nov 23rd in the U.S.

The game was only actually delayed once! The only official release date was September 30th, the rest were all speculation, but now they're closer than ever with the RC sent to vivendi. So until estimated release dates are much more accurate. I will play UT2004 until CSS is relesased (probably this week), and then I will play that until HL2 is relesased (while still playing UT2004, and a bit of The Specialists)
