If you like hockey, who is your team? Who is your least favorite team.

I'm definitely getting into having an in-town team to go see, so the Columbus Blue Jackets are my team these days :D
 
My favorite team is the best team in the NHL!!! GO SHARKS! (If you couldn't tell ;))

And I hate the Ducks with a passion. I also don't like Detroit, LA, Calgary, not a big fan of the east coasts teams, but that's cause I don't like the east coast.

If I wasn't a Sharks fan, I would like Calgary or Colorado, or Boston, but since I am a Sharks fan, I hate them all ;). I think I would probably bleed teal.. don't really want to find out tho.



oh.. and the first person who says the Sharks will choke in the playoffs will get brutally mauled. So have a nice day :)
 
I'm not gonna say they're gonna choke in the playoffs, but they did here last Saturday :D

But then again, Detroit did again, and we've got two more of the top ranked teams coming up: Calgary and Boston.

I'm trying to get tickets for Monday's game against Dallas right NOW :D
 
My favorite hockey team has been based on one player, Modano. I've followed him since rookie year, I actually have an orginal North Stars jersey autographed by him his rookie year. Since I'm in Iowa right close to the MN border, I like the North Stars the best, but Dallas had to pick them up so my loyality had to move to so I'm still a Stars fan, though I miss the days with Belfour, Hatcher (Personally thought the Modano/Hatcher combo ruled the ice). GO DALLAS - Robidas has really been impressing me lately.
 
Side note: I also never could figure out the Ducks, I would have liked the team so much better if they would have just gone with the movie and based them in MN rather the Anaheim

I also enjoy watching the Missouri State Ice Bears (an ACHA Div 2 team) play when I get the chance.

My parents went to that game, I wanted to go so bad. I DID see them shut out the Avs on Tuesday though :D

The Blues have been beating up on the Jackets, defying the odds and mocking me :-(


At least Steve Mason is back on the ice, it's just bad they sent LaCosta back to Syracuse and didn't keep him as backup
 
Calgary has been on a slide lately, so no worries for you Blue Jacket fans. Of course, Calgary has to turn it around some time ... I can't think of a better team for them to turn it around on :) And the Blue Jackets are in Calgary, one of the hardest venues for visitors to play in.
 
I love the Devils. good franchise.
Secondarily... besides the Devils, I like Pittsburgh Penguins.

I can not say that I hate any other team...
I hate it when the Devils loose to either the NY Rangers or the Bruins. But I still like either of those franchises because games against the either of those teams (Devils vs Bruins, or Devils vs Rangers) are always great games.

It is like this.... I'm a Red Sox fan. I don't hate Yankee fans, I just hate it when the Sox loose to the Yankees. If there were no Yankees, there wouldn't be that great match up that comes with two rivals.

I dont wanna start some smack talk.... but man what a game between the Devils and the Sharks recently.
didn't it end at 5 to 4? the whole game I was getting really nervous *cause i remembered this thread*.
man, that was a great game.

It was indeed 5-4.

I was hoping for tickets for tonight's game against the Stars....didn't happen. Was close though. I did pick up 3 sets in a package deal, although I think I can only go to one game :-(.

Bruins at Jackets !

lol I know. I've been disappointed in my sharks lately. Its like we don't want to win anymore. I wasn't able to watch it, at church, but all day long I was thinking about the game and this thread.. *sigh* i hate it when we lose..

Oh, so you hate all the teams better than yours?

And of course the Sharks will get mauled in the playoffs... right through the wood chipper.

Sharks are ahead of Calgary and Detroit, and everyone else right now.

Though, Calgary is next on the Jackets' list of teams in the top 3 to beat :P
 
well as MN is the STATE OF HOCKEY. All the Rho/Kel clan are WILD fans as for the Stars well since we do life in TX now we have to admit that they are good, but only because they are still using the farm clubs setup by the NORTHSTARS organization.

So in short I would just like to say NORTHSTARS FOREVER!

and the Sharks will choke in the playoffs (sorry STC had to be said)

Glad to see I'm not the only N. Star lover, it's like well, my first option doesn't exist anymore, so I'll have to settle for number 2. Though I still find the Stars more attractive then the Wild, but anything beats Iowas latest minor league name... we lost the Stars so now say hello to the Iowa Chops!!! (lets just burn in the Corn and pig stereotype about IA a little more will ya)
 
My Dad still has an old Minnesota North Stars T-Shirt. Too bad it's getting pretty ragged from years and years of use... But I can't blame him, my Blues T-shirt and cap are rapidly approaching disintegration as well.

My parent's MN heritage give me a soft spot for the state's NHL endeavors as well.
