Most cpus have 2 ram slots, each can take 2 512 mb ram, total: 1,024 mb or 1.024 gb. I dont get it when most cpus say they can take up to 2.0 gb of ram memory or 2.0 gb ram max when newer cpus only have 2 ram slots, and 512 mb is the latest!
 
u can buy 1 stick of 1GB ram but I think it costs like $500-600. But I think even if u have 3GB of ram windows only recognises 1.024GB of it.
 
Or Custom-made cpus.

CCGR, JoBlow, having 3-4 slots and 1 gb ram is unrealistic.

The known 'retail' stores I have checked don't sell any cpus with 3 or more slots and 1 gb ram sticks.\

E-bay, Amazon, etc doesnt not count as a retail stores cause their on-line!

So, if I see it, then i'll believe it.

btw, that seems stupid when cpus here that are like 3.2 ghz P4 or Athlon 3200/64 cost over $3,500 have only 2 ram slots.

I have 4 slots I think, my old comp had 3.
U could get 1GB ram u just have to go to a comp store.
Check out Generic Comuters its in vancouver. I got my comp from there and they have good prices.
