With memorial day coming up next Monday, I was just thinking how cool a long-weekend BWE would be, but doesn't look like that's in the plan for arenanet. BWE may = play time for us, but it means working all weekend around-the-clock for them.

Do not want! I'll be busy packing and flying down to New Orleans for a missions trip.

It would be nice, but since they have not said anything by now I kind of doubt it.
 
Based on the last announcement and timing, between Monday and Wednesday are the times when you can anticipate an announcement of a BWE, but not for the current week. Giving that much time between announcement and event can be used as a short-term sales boost.

We know you are all very eager to begin the next Beta Weekend Event. Our community did an amazing job in the previous Beta Weekend Event and stress tests, providing our team with great feedback. Our goal has always been to do this right and treat the beta testing process as what it should be: a way to work out the bugs beforehand and give you the best game we possibly can at launch.

With that as our goal, the development team is working extremely hard to address your current feedback and prepare Guild Wars 2 for the next Beta Weekend Event. Once they're finished, they'll be ready for you to head back to Tyria for the next phase of testing.

We're going to adhere to a monthly schedule as much as feedback and development allow, so it may be a little more or a little less each time, depending on how things progress. For now, we will have more information on upcoming Beta Weekend Events and stress tests as soon as we're able, and we thank each of you for being an important part of the creation of Guild Wars 2. ~RB2

"Officially" official: no BWE this weekend. Anet is setting up more servers in their datacenters to better handle the volume of players they've had in the previous BWE and Stress Test. Once deployed, they'll announce BWE2's date.

YAY! I like this because they need those hard servers working better. This is great news.
 
Of course it's my anniversary weekend...stay home and play Guild Wars...or go to the B&B we've reserved overlooking the Pacific Ocean...which to do...which to do...
