Ignis speed kill - setup

Here is a video of how to setup and do an Ignis speed kill attempt. It is actually a very easy way of doing this fight. This to watch:

1. Tank stands in the water to douse scorches
2. Tank tanks all adds and ignis
3. Range dps stands at 30 yards or closer so tank can taunt adds as they come in.
4. There is no moving Ignis around, DPS concentrates fully on Ignis and not adds
5. This is a 1 tank, 2 healer, 7 dps set up - for maximum dps
6. Do not cast when Ignis is casting flame jets. Doing so interrupts spells and locks down schools of magic.

Here is your link.

Extra DPS as the setup is also using one less healer then we used. Would require a tank and a healer with dual spec of dps and decent gear to go with it.

Maximize DPS, of course.

Generally, we run the team:

1 tank and 1 tank \ dps
2 healers and 1 healer \ dps
5 dps

In this fight, the tank and the person in the pot take the most damage - These two people are where the healers will spend 90% of the time. The flame jets do not cause a ton of damage - having an aoe or a hot healer makes it manageable (hots are instant cast and can be cast through out flame jets and while in the air) - healers not getting interrupted and spell locked is tantamount to success.

One of the benefits of the one tank system is that there is no off-tank that might get dumped into the pot.

The total damage output by the encounter does not change if you have 1 or 2 tanks. The concentration of the output changes.

If two healers is not enough to deal with the change in concentration of damage, put on a third healer.
