Instant messaging contact list wipe, Apr. 2009

I've decided to wipe my instant messaging contact list and start over.

If you still use instant messaging programs like Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, and AIM and want me to add you to my contact list, please send me a PM or post a reply here.

I plan to add all CGA and ToJ staff members with publicly available IM info to my contact lists.

I especially like how you can pester people in game without annoying them excessively. Windows loves to switch focus on new window creation (which just about every IM client does). And some games take AGES to switch back (*cough* TF2).

I have found that to be the case with any Valve game.

I hate when someone IMs' me on AIM while I'm in an TF2game or HL2...

Trillian (both 3.x and Astra) has an option to send a flashing icon to the system tray rather than pop up a new message. I have my client configured so I can either double-click the flashing icon or hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open it.

i let my mac or mini9 do all my IM so i never have a problem

See my profile here for all my contact info. I've basically got a login for every IM software that there is, and I'm usually on one of them, steam, xfire, or IRC. If you really want to find me online, I'm pretty accessible unless I'm asleep.

I'm pretty much always online, but mostly use IM clients for email notifications. I haven't actually chatted with anyone in quite a while, aside from asking my dad for a recipe, but i'll usually just call.
