My new stuff shipped today.

I am a little stoked even if it is a bunch of fruit.

Probably when a new baby ships, but it's even better when the baby/PC parts arrive.

Or a new ROBOTIC BABY ships!!!
Personally I kinda buy computers that can run my games, but I do drool over powerful hardware and the sharp corners of this m17x sure feels good.
 
One option wasn't in there better than all of them. Here is the list of order:
Day became a Christian
Wedding day
Day Children adopted
Shipping of new hardware
Although there may be a bit of a conflict between hardware and my daughters citizenship day.

Why did Tree vote only for the second "no" and none of the others?
 
While new gear shipping is a great joy... I dare say getting old gear that was previously totally non-functioning to work... is even more joyous.

Especially when said hardware are pieces of hand-me-down gear that, together, are a whole lot better than the gear you've been using for the last... forever.

Yes. I've made insane headway on a significantly better (for me) machine. It's not amazing, but it should certainly handle TF2 with a full server... and some Champions Online and League of Legends to boot! :P

Edit: It works. I'm... so stoked. Because I wasn't certain that it would, I ran the Windows 7 installer on one of my other hard drives for fear of rending my main hard drive temporarily useless without cause. Now that I've confirmed the machine working, I'll get my main hard drive over here and be ready to game awesomely tomorrow.

...or the next day. Got a loooot to reinstall, most likely.

Isn't it just wonderful when something you've ordered actually works half as well as advertised to be. Arriving in working condition doesn't really cut it XD
