That seems a bit low for comcast though. I just ran a speed test earlier today after comcast did another one of its free upgrades (basic is now up to 6mbps).

I hit around 4500 Kbps or a download speed of 568k.

Edit: just ran that test and here are my results with basic Comcast HSI.

Connection is:: 4239 Kbps about 4.2 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 518 kB/s

more or less, testmy.net doesnt really do a full job, my downloads are running at 300kbs so i know im doing good

Sounds about right. It depends on the ISP, but sometimes it takes a while for them to give you full speed.
