Did Leo Volont get punted? I only ask because I notice his last post was this morning, then shortly there after, all his posts were logged as an unregistered guest and his name can not be found in the database.

If by punted you meen kicked I believe so. He posted a topic this morning called all prots go to hell. Saying that if you believe this way that is not my way you will go to hell blah blah blah. It seems the thread was erased and I would assume that he is banned.
 
Oh well. Always sad to see somebody who so obviously spent alot of time in books and with a great deal of knowledge forget their people skills.

I banned him and deleted him from the database. I take full responsibility for that. Anyone who read his thread before i deleted it will understand why...

He can of course email me and argue his case... but i wouldnt hold your breath..
 
This reminds me of a couple of scriptures that I would like to share.

Jesus said in John 5 : 39, 40 "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."

Leo claimed himself to be a wise scholar. But don't scholars learn that when you debate, you leave your personal feelings out of the evidence as it will weaken your case? I'm sure had he put down people a little less, and quoted supporting scripture a little more, more people might have at least listened to him.

Jesus also said in Matthew 5 : 43 - 45, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

I had asked him several times to respect the people of the forums, and even if he considered us enemies, to do as Jesus commanded and love us and pray for us. But it shows a little too much that he has little love for you, and he's not afraid to say it.

So I ask you all to keep Leo in your prayers. It is what Jesus would have wanted.
 
I think that we should pray that God leads Leo to the truth. He is hooribaly mislead not only endagering his own salvation but that of others as well.

Excommunication is not the answer.
Prayer and suffering is.
i would rather you have held on to leo by the shirt collar and continued to wrestle with him and perhaps in the process gain a greater understanding of the inexaustable methods by which men can be brought to the TRUTHE.
i found his methodology encouraged me to think OUTSIDE THE BOX.

Yes I did a search both on him a Adelpit awhile back.
 
Sometimes a day spent in silence is worth millions blathering on and on. This may just turn out to be a short time-out for him, who knows, a reality check of sorts. He can petiton Rizz as was said earlier, I would love to see him back if he could exert some sort of self control, and if we could put a regulator valve on his dihearhettic mouth to slow it down a bit.

Hey Adel.  I have a scripture for you.

Matthew 18 : 15 - 17 ""If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector."

It is true that this is not a 'church' and we don't all share the same beliefs.  However, what happened was done is a fair and similar manner as requested by Jesus above.  Leo has been asked not to be so condenscending, even in front of everybody, yet by his last post, it is clear that he refused to listen.  We all gave him several chances, and even he admitted to the allowances given to him by CCGR, yet he continued his personal attacks.  It is true that Jesus says to forgive your brother seventy times seven.  And nobody here has any hard or harsh feelings against Leo.  We all respect him and some of us actually pray for him.  But it makes it very hard to have a debate or conversation with someone who continues to put you down or order you to hell.  It was not fair to the members here, and since he would not stop despite repeated chances and requests, he lost his account.  It was done in a very fair manner and even in close accordance to Christ's command in the scripture above.

My 2 cents anyway.


Oh, and I like your binary analagy.  In binary language, God is:
0000 0001 (Zechariah 14:9)
and we are
0000 0000

However, we are not alone.  We are allied with God and in the Holy Spirit.  So alone, we are zero, but what happens when you add God to us?
    0000 0001
 + 0000 0000
    ------------
    0000 0001

With God, we are no longer nothing but we now have value.  Isn't that cool?
