Anyone else notice a TON of items are no longer available at the cooking merchant?

I wonder how prices will react in the BLTP?
 
Supply and demand. Supply has been cut, demand remains the same, prices soar.
 
The items that are no longer vendored now regularly drop and/or come out of material bags. It definitely slowed down the speed at which you could progress, but it's not that hard to get these items. Also, I've noticed that the TP prices for the items are very low right now, probably because there's still a lot of supply left over.
 
I've been finding some spices and nuts when I chop down trees and in other various areas. I believe someone posted about this in another thread.
