What game was the first to have multiplayer. It also was the first to have a playable demo.

They had demos, but old demos never have on-line play, unless you count serial/tcp ip connection as on-line.

However, StarCraft did have on-line in the demo.

It was Doom good job for those that got it right! I didn't mean that the demo had multiplayer. Doom also had the first DEMO shareware/freeware are different.

Multiplayer and On-line are 2 different things.

Multiplayer; can range from serial to network to the net.

On-line; can only be used when the users have Internet Connection such as Dial-up, DSL/Cable, T1's/T3's.

Doom demo never had the On-line option, since Cable/DSL wasnt invented that time, heh. However, it was an 'old' multiplayer game.

But I've never experience the Doom demo multiplayer on a PC, heh.
