Hi guys,
I have had a love for 3d since I started Highschool. I have been learning workflows using Blender, Adobe Substance Painter, Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, and the Unity game engine. I know this is my ideal path, because I can spend hours working on a level and not realize I havn't looked up for a couple of hours because I was enjoying it so much. Yet the entire industry seems to be creating dark and disgusting content. I want to create content that glorifies God and inspires awe. The Kingdom of God should be setting the standard of quality, not the lost masses... Here is a link to my portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/zachariahbaldwin

You may want to try https://www.cgdc.org/ :) . I've not interacted with them but they've been around for a while .

As a side note you may want to look into Godot. Way, way, back when I was looking into game engines it looked like a promising free alternative to Unity for game development (considering Unity's recent actions).

Stay strong against the world and I pray you one day make great games that bring glory to God :) !

Do you guys know about a game called The Annoited: David Saves Keilah? If you don't then, it's a Christian game made by IMD Interatice and the Foundation of Intelligent Media and Design.

If I ever learned how to make games, I might try a My Singing Monsters or Mortal Kombat/Injustice Inspired game, for my IPs and creations. If I tried an MK/Injustice-inspired game, it would be nice if I added Nightcrawler to it since he had Christian-related stuff in his character history but sadly not cause of how Disney probably ruined him and Marvel. With all the propaganda, Disney ruins everything.

That's right Nightcrawler did have some Godly lines back in the day. You'll probably have to create your own characters though as anything approaching a known IP risks legal troubles even if Disney wasn't garbage. The amount of baseless lawsuits thrown around today means that any character I make will be deliberately designed to look nothing like an existing one. No reason you can't have a Christian character who teleports though :) .

A Christian MK/injustice style game would be nice too but anything with internet/multiplayer would require a knowledge of net code and/or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GGPO . You'd also have to have hacker protections. It's conceivable but I'd do a small single player game for a first project to gain experience and starting capital.
