Hello everyone, I am new to this very nice forum. Right now a few others and I are developing a Christian Video game, so I'll appreciate all the help I can get. Basically people who are artists(we need alot of artists, actually), people who are familiar with The Games Factory(very easy to learn, www.clickteam.com) or people who know html(website design). Here is a description of the currently untitled game:
It is current day. A S.W.A.T squad is sent to what appears to be a distress call from a resident in the rural areas of Nevada (which is, rural). Our character, James Ascroft (I've already used this name before as the star of the Fog 1&2, oh well, nobody can get enough action these days) Apparently, he has suffered a loss (which will not be revealed yet) and has split off from his faith (which is Christian, of course) The distress call is real; an extraterrestrial is at the scene, and is trying to make contact. But when Ascroft thinks God really has no purpose, he is wrong. The 'aliens' are not what there appear to be, and their message is 'there are no gods, you are gods.' And then what appeared to be the saving of humanity is the damnnation of it, really (pun intended, the word was used Biblically) The aliens are demons, and when the government, and all other citizens dissuade him, he is only left with his loyal squad. God gives him power to destroy these demons, in which, our charater finally realizes that Jesus is real, and God, is the only way. There could be sneaky, 'Splinter Cell' like stuff (when you find the truth), or it could be entirely text-based. We could have flashbacks during levels that shows the parting of faith, and why he ultimately did it.
Sound nice?
