With the Feb 21st SoC scrim coming tomorrow I'm announcing we've got another one scheduled for March 7th :) . I got together with Bakey and put together the details on a Toj vs FDG scrimmage!

Date: Saturday March 7

Time: 8:30PM EST (7:30PM central)

Size: 9 vs. 9

Maps: Badlands and Badwater

Class Restrictions: 1 of every class thus 9 vs 9

Win conditions: First to 4 wins on Badlands, 2 Attack/Defend rounds on Badwater (stopwatch will be used if the same number of caps are made).

Other: no crits, mp_tournament, tf_damage_disablespread , We will also be using Teamspeak so you know.

Place: FDG server IP: 208.167.242.212:27015

The preceding Thursdays, February 26th and March 5th, at 8:30PM EST (7:30PM central) will be our practice dates. We will probably not have enough players to go 9 vs 9 in practice but we should still get down our strategies as best possible. Even if you aren't going to be in the scrim we can certainly use your help at practice! Also with nine slots (x2 for both maps) we will have space for anyone who wants to play so don't be shy!

Pyro is definitely my best class, but I am willing to try any other class if need be (give me tips and pointers if that will be the case).

Sorry guys, I would love to make some Fudge cookies with you, but I have a weekend getaway planed for the weekend of the 7th and I'm out of town. I'll help you prepare though.

Alright we've already got 7 :) I hate to lose you Whon but I understand completely and I still think we can get enough :). Hopefully Keero will be caught up on his studies enough to play though (could use him as a Heavy).

I can tell you guys right now though I've been placing you guys according to the classes you list yourself as good at and like. As we have more of some than others, some people will be stuck filling certain roles :/.

It's also important to note that with a one person per class limit we are not going to be able to switch classes mid map easily if at all. That means everyone should be comfortable playing a single class for an entire map.

I can probably say tentatively that...
Bassman: Demo (because you are our only one available)
Parabellum: (if he comes): Sniper or Scout (because only Whon has said he plays these too)
Gerbil: Spy (because I can finally play my main class. I just hope it's a good spy day and not a bad one T_T. I may play this in both maps unless someone else says they want spy specifically, which is fine)
Elihu or Sacrifice: Soldier
Tek or Sarugon: Medic
Shadetaker or Omega Amen: Pyro

I'll probably change the line up between maps to let others have a go at certain classes.

If someone actually likes playing engineer, scout or sniper please speak up because those are the roles I think we will need to fill and I don't want to have to stick someone with them. Remember with the scout update that role should change somewhat.

Tek as we have several people who play medic and pyro I'd suggest finding another class in addition to them you'd like to play. I'm thinking you'd be medic on one map but you'll probably end up being something else on the other.

I'm fine playing demo as it is my favorite class, but if we need it I can also play engineer or scout. I enjoy both of those and am pretty flexible.

I never played Engineer in a match ever. I am willing to try it as long as someone can act as a tutor. I guess I should be okay at it since I am an engineer in real life.

If we get another Demo I'll keep you in mind Bass but as of now you're it for our Demo'ing. Thanks.

Ok I'll be honest that makes me lol. I am thinking real life application of engineer does not require alternately hitting your buildings and spies with a wrench :p. Seriously though thanks for the offer to be engineer, I'd rather play any other class than engineer myself :/.

Whoever plays I'll try to make sure they get to play their favorite class in at least one of the maps (if possible, we will only have 2 spaces for each class, one per map).

I see you have never went through an aircraft integration event for a couple of weeks. Sometimes a good whack does wonders. Although I actually work on network communications technologies.

I work on military contracts so... actually....

I am just trying to be a team player. I view the engineer as a class that focuses on planning ahead, resource management, and stubborn determination to not let his "project" go down. Those are actual real engineer skills.

I can read between the lines! You mean you are working on secret military teleporters and TF2 is really a government black ops testing program for them O.O! :p

That's actually true. I find I relate some of my Tae Kwon Do Training to playing FPS's too.

I can do engi fairly well myself gerbil, so if you have another person lined up for soldier I can always take on engi for you.

I'm tentatively in as Medic.

I say "tentatively" because my wife's birthday is rapidly approaching and she and I need to figure out which night we're going on a date. She and I can probably go out Sunday or Monday night, so there's a good chance I'll be at the scrim.

As for alternate classes, I feel the only other ones that I could play and be of any use to the team would be Pyro and Heavy.

I should be there, Pyro certainly is my best and generally preferred class, but I'm much better as an offensive Pyro than a defensive one. I'm also available as a Scout, Heavy, Soldier and possibly Engineer. (in order of self perceived effectiveness)

I can play pyro, soldier, medic and engi well, and will play whatever.
I intend to actually be there this time, no zombie music videos to conflict this time!
Also so sorry I haven't been on lately, I have been doing so much homework I have been up as late or later then when I was playing games just doing that. uhg.
