Mario Kart Wii

For those who did know, Mario Kart Wii comes out in less than a week in the states. I'm just curious in regards to who plans on getting it and if we should have a ToJ get together playing it.
 
I'm planning on buying it the day of release (Apr. 27)--if I can find a copy. I decided not to pre-order, but I should be able to snag a copy at a local retailer.

If the local Wal-Mart didn't sell out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I don't think they'll sell out of Mario Kart Wii.
 
I've now played Mario Kart Wii with my brother-in-law, my wife, my wife's classmate, a friend in Tulsa, my best friend, my mom, and my dad.

It's a great multiplayer game, though it has its flaws and quirks (as does any title). I admit it's annoying to drop from 1st to 6th just because I got hit by a blue shell, but one can't have fun with Mario Kart if one takes it too seriously.
