Membership Sweep 06/04

Its that time again...

The Tribe of Judah routinely performs membership sweeps to determine if members are still active.  Over the next couple of weeks I will be performing one of these sweeps.

Again, membership sweeps are just to determine the active status of the members of ToJ.  Member sweeps do not remove you from ToJ.  We simply flag you as inactive in our roster.  At any time in the future, you can be made active again by simply contacting the membership administrator.

How the sweep will be performed:
- Members who have recently joined or logged into the website in the last three months (April through the current day) are already determined to be active.
- Members will have from now until Saturday (6/19/2004) to login to the website to be excluded from the sweep.  For login issues please contact me.
- Around this time on Saturday (6/19/2004), an email will be sent out to those that are left on the roster that we have not heard from in the last three months.  The email will have some links in it.  One will be to continue your active status as a member.  One will be to set you as inactive and the last will be a request to be completely removed from the roster.
- Members will then have one week to respond by clicking on one of the links in the email.
- Emails that bounce back to me as bad addresses will be added to the inactive member list.
- Towards the end of the week (06/24/2004), a final reminder will be sent to those that have not responded.
- On 06/26/2004 any member who has not responded to the email will be set as inactive.

Any questions about the sweep can be directed to me.  Stay tuned to the forums and the website for more information.

Before asking questions in this thread, check to see if they weren't already answered in the previous member sweep posts: http://www.cgalliance.org/cgi-bin....2&t=219

I couldn't reach the site yesterday and it's still very unreliable today (time-out errors).

Next time try not to have sweeps that force people to log-in until you know the site is up.

It's not my connection either because every other site and online games are fine.

And oh yes, I'm still here.

Umm, thanks for looking at the dates before complaining. You have until the 19th to login. That is over two weeks to try to login.

Then even after that two week period, you have a week to respond to the email that will be sent out. And if for some reason, three weeks is not enough time, you can always drop me or Rizz an email after the sweep is over and we can easily reactivate the account.

It was hard to even get the thread loaded and I had to post, post, post three times because the first two timed out.

In any case, yes I probably made a tactical error posting the way I did without the page fully loaded but in-any case I think my advice still has some merit left in it.

Also at that time I expected to be taking a trip from the 13th to the 22nd and I saw this is my last chance to stay active.

Oh and, you're welcome.
Have a little faith in me, if I wanted to complain I could've done a much better job.

Look James, I am not here to argue.  I have no idea why you want to drag this out.  Three weeks is more than enough time.  As I have stated several times already in this very post, even missing the deadline on 6/26 is not the end.  You can still contact me or rizz after that date and we can reactivate the account.

From your post, it looks like you are having internet problems as the CGA forums and Tribe of Judah website are hosted on two different servers owned by two different companies.  Just because you can connect to a game server does not mean your browser may be having problems.  So if you are still experiencing problems with the two sites, please seek help for the forums via email at forums at cgalliance org. For the ToJ website, you can drop me a line at plankeye at cgalliance org. Cool?

Yes, I am sorry. As I woke up this morning the Lord immediately began dealing with me about my conduct in this topic as I was shaving (which probably explains the poor shaving result I have now

).

When the Lord deals with me about something, I have learned to quickly act upon it. So I am sorry for my conduct in this thread and hope that we can still maintain our (friendship?).

Ok folks, I will be kicking off the member sweep tomorrow. Again, read the first post of this thread for instructions on what is happening. For the most part, members will not have to do anything unless they receive an email. Then all you have to do is click on the link that applies to you. Simple stuff.

237 emails have just been sent out. For those that get the email, make sure to click on the appropriate link.

Since I didn't get an email, that means you got my message, Plankeye, good.
