Microphone Volume

I reecently installed a new soundcard, over my integrated sound chip.

However, whenever I am playing a game, and I'm using mic, people say that my voice is too low. all settings onare on max microphone input, in the control panel, as well as in game. I have to put the mic, next to my mouth, literally, and talk, normally, in order to get any input at all.

I am pretty sure this has to do with the new soundcard. Help!

Many sound cards have a "microphone boost" setting. Find that, enable it, and set your microphone volume between 50~75%. Test your mic then and see if you come across more loudly in-game.
