Mining question

I guess I have decided to go with mining for one profession for my NE druid..so here is my question, What level can you begin mining and where is the nearest mining trainer for a night elf. I am only lvl 10 right now and I have found the leatherworking and skinning trainers, but haven't seen a mining trainer yet. Anybody?
